Kristi Gold. Challenged by the Sheikh. New York: Silhouette, 2004.
In order to impress an important business client, Imogene Danforth arrives at SaHraa Stables
to learn to ride horses. There she meets darkly handsome Sheikh Rafi ibn Shakir, a man who
hides a painful past behind a controlled exterior.
As far as Rafi is concerned, the solitude of his horse farm is shattered when Imogene
comes to him for help. He finds it hard to refuse her request, and even harder to refuse
her body. Nonetheless, the sheikh agrees to teach her to ride, but ends up teaching her other
pleasures as well--pleasures worthy of Savannah's sultry nights.
But because of a past tragedy, his heart remains out of reach.
Together Rafi and Imogene are fire and ice, yet unless he lets go of the guilty secret he
carries, they may never have anything but ashes.
